I do agree with article from a clinical psychologist’s point of view. 👍

Enjoyment, satisfaction and passion. 😀
Design, technology and provenance. 😀

I’ve never really considered financial “investment” among the watches I’ve owned since I never thought of selling them even afterwards 😉

All of these, I want to pass on to my children and family ::rimshot::

I can't say that I've ever 'sought approval' from experts particularly. If I'd wanted approval I would have bought a Steve McQ Monaco and a retro Carrera... but then I'm a contrary little sod. I do sometimes wonder how I got into a hobby that has cost me the best part of £20k over the last five years.

At first I looked and thought £20k! Wow. Then had a look in my box and, we’ll not quite £20k but north of £15k I reckon, easy to do, a quick glance at my HiFi tells the same story. Ah well.

I have never added up my watch expenditure, nor my hifi for that matter. I'm not sure I'm going to do it either!

It isn’t really a good idea, certainly won’t do a balance sheet for the cars that have through hands.
