Surprisingly low if only 5%, maybe they will do two increases per year to make the change less obvious?
Volumes go down, the Swiss try to please their shareholders by increasing prices, causing volumes to go further down. And so on. I wonder if TAG will ever reach a limit where they loose too many customers due to the high price? Or if they eventually become expensive enough to move them into a higher tier luxury segment, thereby making the products more appealing again just for the sake of being expensive. In the online world, many consider TAG entry level luxury but pricing no longer matches this image. I suppose Arnault should invest in marketing to change that imagine.
In a couple of years when all Autavia, Monaco and Carrera chronos will be more than 10k, will these watches suddenly appeal to a new type of buyer? A buyer that was previously too much of a snob to consider TAG? Or will current fans just pull their pants down, bend over and accept that a watch that used to cost around 5k has not changed or improved at all except that it now costs 9-10k.
