All jokes aside, she couldn’t wear those beads and braids now, as it would get attacked for being cultural appropriation.

The article and their Instagram post states that Pam Anderson wore the F1 on Baywatch, this is not correct.

I don't know what watch it is, but clearly, it's not the TAG Heuer Formula 1.

Indeed not. Looks like a watch made out of a poker chip

A little internet searching led me to the above watch, a '90s vintage Maui and Sons.
I believe Pamela is wearing a similar yellow & purple variation of this watch.

Never say never, and never say that anything on the internet is "final", but here are my "final" thoughts on the TAG Heuer x Kith collaboration, one month after the release -- http://www.onthedash.com/tag-heuer-kith-recap/

Of course, thanks to everyone on this forum for all the interesting thoughts that they have shared about these watches!!

Now, it's on to month two!!

WordPress tells me that it's a 12-minute read . . . maybe break it up into four sessions, reading three minutes of the posting each time?

I had a conversation with a salesperson from the boutique here in Amsterdam last week. They never received an F1 Kith.
So no one asks about it..
He is convinced that if it had been a 'normal' version, he would have sold them like hot cakes. There are enough F1 fans here in the Netherlands because of a certain Max V.

The Kith Heuer Formula 1 watches were released around May 5th, and there was considerable discussion here about the $1,500 price tag on the watches, with some participants here suggesting that this price was too high and would not be sustained in the aftermarket. There were suggestions that the price would decline when the hype died down.

So I just now had a look at the 45 Kith Heuer watches listed for sale on Chrono24. Knock out the five with the highest prices ($3,350 to $3,999) and the five with the lowest prices ($1,799 to $1,899) and we are left with 35 watches "in the middle", priced from $1,956 to $3,069. That seems pretty strong to me -- at $1,956, even the lowest-priced of these is 33% above the original $1,500 price.

Four months later, I would say that TAG Heuer and Kith got the pricing just about right.

“KITH Heuer” still grinds my gears. The branding alone is an abomination IMHO, and yes, I think the pricing was too high.

Nonetheless, I’m happy for those of you that like it and these releases.

As an addendum to the above, I feel that way because I care about TAG Heuer. While these releases would not have been of interest to me, I would have strongly preferred they kept the TAG Heuer branding.

Thanks buddy. The pricing never bothered me, the branding did a lot. I obviously got past that and bought one anyway. The KITH branding differentiates them; if they had been identical to the OG, it would've made the $1500 price even harder to justify IMHO.

Now I don't notice the branding at all, the watch in itself says TAG Heuer through & through. At the end of day, the watch makes me really happy, and I wear it a lot.

FYI, there's actually a forum member who did end up getting the box set. Probably not hard to guess who (no, it's not Hubert). 😉

The Moonswatches are still selling like hot cakes. Even here in the small, not really watch-loving Netherlands. Further down the street you still cannot admire or buy a Kith Heuer in the TH boutique..
Perhaps comparing apples and oranges, but still.

I would be very pleased to see a 33% rise for the people who bought these.

Do you happen to have info on sold prices, rather than asking prices?

A quick search of eBay in the UK suggests a different picture of the latest ones which appear when I filter to sold. Bear in mind the ones with green lines are those which did not end up with the sale fully completing.

Good prices there then, although are those sales from May?

What’s the prices like for more recent sales?

The green line means a lower offer was accepted.

That’s what it means. Cheers for letting me know and I stand corrected. 👍🏽

I guess it's interesting that the majority of these sales are the TAG Heuer models, of which there were more pieces. I imagine the KITH models probably hold their value better if only because there's less of them.
