$1500…. You can get a modern steel F1 for less… I fully expected this, but I’m STILL beside myself. Why not just get an original one for $300? Anyway, TAG hasn’t been doing it for me the past few years, and I’m starting to lose interest 😒

I’m curious to see how these do. I bet there will be loads of people with too much money who will drop $5000 on all of them just to say they can. Ok my tantrum is over….

Oh dear. The lume dial may not be lume after all.... just says 'eggshell' dial.

My likes:
- The size
- The colours
- The design
All true to the originals and very recognisable as such

My dislikes:
- The logo
- The price (I would just buy an original F1 over one of these)
- The limited availability

In summary, I think if Tag had put their name on the dial, made it half the price and non-limited, they could have had a smash hit here. So a missed opportunity as far as I'm concerned. I can only assume their thinking was they didn't want it to be a smash hit at a lower price with their logo on the dial - since that would undermine their strategy of moving up market. Shame, though.

The fact that you need to Go into a ballot on the KITH website for the chance to buy one says that they expect to sell out.

I have no doubt, as that’s the nature of FOMO.

Now if you asked me if they would sell the same number had it not been a ballot and limited availability…

I’m just reading about these for the first time, price is a bit on the high side but you can get vintage examples very cheaply, they were the first watch I bought my nephews and my first watch was the F1 Chronograph.

This is my fav from all releases. but is it worth the humiliation of going through the hassle of entering a lottery to maybe be allowed to buy an expensive cap 🙄 I hate all these hyped up overpriced limited shit brands like omega and kith and blank pain fifthy swatches etc etc. Still a cool little hat.
