On a separate note, how awesome would a rose dial with red subdials be!!!

I gotta be honest with you, I gotta be honest. I do prefer a silver dial.

Not for this release, but a general release with a rose dial would be nice. Might be more suitable to the fairer skin though

Lets not turn this thread into some discussion about skin colour
Props to Jim for being the voice of reason on this discussion.

Let's just contemplate the fact that Hubert called Jim (of all people) the 'voice of reason'.

So next year is the Snake, that will make a good watch... but then we're into the Horse, Pig, Monkey and Chicken.
Can't wait for the Carrera Year of the Chicken.
Eggs on the dial maybe?
Then again they made a cool 'rat' watch, so who knows.
Or maybe they just didn't think Ox's are sexy enough?
I mean, the rat is hardly sexy... but they made a bit of a joke out of it. Can't even do that with an ox.
I just read your blog post on this watch. It occurred to me that the reason for buying these, for many, has little to do with whether the animal is sexy or not. It has more to do with the year one was born. If one is an Ox, you'd want the Year of the Ox.

It's like the Zodiac, if you're a Taurus or a Libra etc., that's mostly what you'd be interested in when buying Zodiac pieces.

Yeah I did think that myself... but I wonder. Have ever seen any watch company make a year of the Ox watch?

Just because you're an Ox doesn't necessarily mean you want a year of the ox watch. If you are lucky to be a dragon then hey dragons are pretty cool, maybe j get a year of the dragon watch...

Yup, there's plenty. Just google it. Here are two examples.

Well, you're a Year of the Rooster/Chicken, so maybe that explains your Dragon envy? LOL :p

But since the majority of the sales are in Asia, being born in the year of a given animal is usually the focus. As there are personality traits to each animal, just like the western zodiac signs.

Oh okay, the Ox is pretty cool after all. But still.... I want to see a Carrera with a chicken on the dial. That will be hilarious.
