I’ve got some wrist shots of a few of the releases as well. But my day is so busy tomorrow I probably won’t be able to pick mine up until evening
And the Solargraph! I actually really love this. Too bad it’s quartz, but now I’m dreaming of a regular Aquaracer 200m in this titanium case.
Here's my posting covering the 60th Anniversary Carrera -- Introducing the TAG Heuer Carrera 60th Anniversary Limited Edition and a wrist-shot from this afternoon
Best article by far! All the others I've seen use the renders, yours has fantastic live pics! Love all the comparison shots. BTW, did you buy one Jeff or is that a loaner?
Thanks for the kind words . . . the "sunray" can be difficult to capture, but this one liked having its picture taken!! This one is a loaner, but I do expect to buy one. Jeff
The formal announcement of the Carbon Monza https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/t...is-so-wild-we-had-two-editors-review-it-video
Monza is now CR5090 (follow up on CR5080 40th anniversary). Available for sale online for £11,450 https://www.tagheuer.com/gb/en/time...ibre-heuer-02-cosc-flyback/CR5090.FN6001.html
I'm trying to imagine the demographic that TH would target the Monza. All I can come up are the rappers and the "influencers". Not a daily / frequent wear and definitely not a racing watch anymore.
Yes, a bit conflicted about the Monza. Quite like it, but then I can't get away from the thought that the markers are blue like that because it was so difficult to read the time!
plus the textile/sail cloth strap just doesn't go well with me. Personally I saw the change-out from rally straps to the alligator straps as the first sign of the move from racing to lifestyle watches. But a cloth strap on a super-premium watch is just a big NO for me.
