I prefer the TAG. A lot.

 

The black matte case seems a bit off. Possibly a steel bezel might have given a better contrast

 

Looks like the code is CAR5A8AF and it has a rainbow rotor!

Hey all

My first post to introduce my first TAG since 2005.

I was after a 02T and it was firmly on my list to buy next year. When I was visiting Las Vegas (I'm from the UK) for a trade show in November I went into the TAG boutique in Ceasers to try one on and check it out in person. It was the Black and Gold version which is not a colour way I was a fan of. The sales person told me of a new limited edition that was coming called "Polychrome" and that I should look it up and put my name down if I wanted it.

I looked it up in the and it looked very interesting but not enough to make me want to pull the trigger. When I got back to the UK my friend who was with me in Vegas sent me a reel of someone showing the watch on Instagram. I was now sold! The way the light plays with with the "Rainbow" was a real eye catcher.

I had a live chat with a TAG representative on their website as the product was showing our of stock. They told me most had been pre ordered before release but would check for me. They came back saying there was one left in stock and it was in the store that I had visited in Vegas. I asked one of my friends in the US to complete the transaction for me as they would only ship with the US. A week later it arrived and its just as impressive in person as it was in the video I saw. The pictures on TAG website don't really do it justice.

Very happy with the new addition!

Congrats! Great story, enjoy your new watch. Prior to the Pandemic, I used to visit that Vegas Boutique regularly and have bought from them as well.

 

Many years since I was in that boutique, last time I was thinking of a Bulgari, at a great discount, but passed on it.
