Strange. I remember considering asking you to buy this one end of November, could have sworn it was available then.

It is still available in Germany I see now.

Well, some did for the 40th Anniversary Monaco, also limited to 1000. But I certainly wouldn't for this one. Now sold out too in the US.

Yeah you know that was the first McQueen re-edition so very different. They’re still trading well over retail. This red one is... something else.

Maybe it was, maybe in July it hadn't come on sale properly yet so it was showing as out of stock?

Maybe depends by what "sold out" means. TAG Heuer would allocate some watches to itself (online and boutiques), and the rest to be sold through the AD channel.

When the website says "sold out", my guess is that it means that TAG Heuer has sold all of its own stock and dealers have bought the remainder. But it doesn't mean that ADs have sold all the watches they have bought.

At some point, I guess TAG Heuer can offer incentives to acquire back unsold stock sitting in the AD network, especially if it thinks that it can sell them online and keep all the margin, rather than through a dealer at a lesser margin....so the watch becomes available again.

Am sure that we have a few people here who work at ADs, who can clear this up?

I'm new to this forum, hello everyone! This was my first Tag Heuer purchase ever. I don't usually like red watches, but I saw this at a dealer and fell in love. Apparently, according to the dealer this was the last one available in Thailand, where I live now. The white central dial has something of a Daytona panda-esque vibe to it that subtly downplays its striking dark red color (in a good way). I haven't seen any other Monaco that has this kind of white sunburst dial in the middle, it seems like this particular edition is unique in that regard. I'll need to get a proper camera to capture it, but here are a few pictures I just took from my phone today.

Congrats on a stunning watch @ilovethemonaco and welcome to the best forum in the world 👍

Interesting that you say the middle of the dial is white, I thought it was silver
