Carrera Day-date has a very, very nice appeal in terms of colors and overall contemporary look.
We have yet to see it in real life.

 

Strangely, I quite like the black Carrera with the 'brown leather strap'.... reminds me of a Timex Explorer I used to have years ago.

Has that Aquaracer got no bubble on the date? If so, rejoice and thank the Gods of TAG. Looks nice, but cyclops are a massive turn off for me.

 

Some nice watches there, but nothing that screams 'buy me'. That Calibre 16 carrera on leather looks good thou.

 

So, of all the new gents models... 43mm, 43mm, 45mm. Ridiculous! The only one that stands a chance of fitting me is the Aquaracer "Lady". TAG moves ever further in the direction of rap stars, footballers and anyone who wants to flaunt their wealth to the max.

 

Agreed, I also like the look of last year's grey phantom, it would be nice to compare them in the metal

 

Did bigger sizes ever lose prominence? They have been growing monotonically for the last 10 years.

 

I've read that NY Times article before, and a lot of people misinterpret it. The article's main evidence of smaller watch sizes coming back into style is that Rolex released a 39mm Oyster Perpetual watch at Baselworld 2015. What people are missing is that 39mm is the largest watch size in the Oyster Perpetual line. So Rolex actually made a bigger version of that watch, when previously the largest was 36mm. And of course, Rolex is well known for smaller watches in general. Look at all the Omega, IWC, etc. releases in the last few years, and you will see that those companies consider 39mm to be a woman's size these days.
